Masks and COVID-19 Information

In order to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, the CDC recommends wearing cloth face coverings in public settings where other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain. Additionally, the State of Pennsylvania has put an order into place requiring the use of masks by both employees and customers of essential businesses.

Getting A Mask from SCCB

The Steel City Clown Brigade has been busy producing homemade cloth facemasks, for anyone in need. If you are interested in a mask, please fill out this Google Form with your contact information, preferred size, and a convenient pick-up time. We will get back to you to confirm the appointment: Order Here

Masks Order from CMU take a week to make. They can be picked up at a CMU Juggling Club Meetings. Pick up instructions will be sent with you confirmation email.

Types of Face Masks

We have two kinds of masks to choose from.

Panier Style Mask

This is an elliptical style mask. They are modeled on the N95 mask. These masks can also be used as a cover to extend the life of N95 masks. These masks are also very good at accommodating ASL Communication Windows.

Extended Olson Style Mask

This mask will cover under your chin and is reversible with a pocket to insert a filter into. A surgical style mask can be inserted into this mask.

Custom Made Masks

We can make masks with nose bridges or a window for ASL use. We have made masks with straps around the back of the head or incorporated them into a bandana. If you need a custom made mask please email us with detailed instructions at: zeeppo@steelcityclownbrigade.org.

Washing and Care Instructions

These masks are made from 100% Cotton and have the same washing instructions as a T-shirt. Laying flat to dry will prolong the life of the elastic.
